I remember when I first got into downloading. Then I found torrents and everything became even better... I could get almost anything i wanted. I downloaded my favourite film but it came in a load of split RAR files and I didn't know what to do. Heres a quick guide for the most common, if you need help then email me, leave a comment or search on Google.
1. .RAR files and Split .rar Files - This ones easy, download Winrar free: http://www.filehippo.com/download_winrar
2. .avi / .mpg / .wmv / .divx / .x264 (etc... nearly all video files basically) - you need the right video codecs from here... Winxp - http://www.filehippo.com/download_klite_mega_codec/changelog/1793/ or Vista/Win7 here: http://www.cccp-project.net/download.php?type=cccp
Just install that with the recommended settings.
3 .iso - You need to download Virtual CD. It is supposed to be paid for but heres a link for a free copy...http://hotfile.com/dl/97162092/6d15d17/VIRTUAL.CD.V10.1.0.11.ISO-LZ0.rar.html
